As we head into 2026, we're reflecting on a productive December that delivered several updates focused on making Hedy work more seamlessly with your natural workflow. From hands-free session control to smarter topic management, these improvements help you spend less time configuring and more time contributing to your conversations.
Hedy now integrates with Siri on iOS and macOS, allowing you to start and stop sessions entirely hands-free.
Walking into a meeting with your hands full? Say "Hey Siri, start my Hedy session" and you're recording. Need to end a session without reaching for your device? Siri handles that too.
This integration works through Apple's App Intents framework, meaning it's fast, reliable, and works even when your device is locked. For professionals who move between meetings throughout the day, this removes one more point of friction between you and your AI meeting coach.
We've all been there—a meeting ends, you get pulled into the next thing, and an hour later you realize Hedy is still recording silence. Wasted battery, wasted storage, and a transcript full of nothing.
Hedy can now detect when your conversation has ended and automatically pause your session. No more sessions running indefinitely because you forgot to hit stop.
Enable this feature in your meeting settings. Hedy monitors for extended periods of no speech and pauses automatically, so you can walk away from finished conversations without a second thought.
If you use Topics to organize your sessions, you've probably noticed a pattern: certain topics always use the same session type. Your "1:1s with Manager" topic is always Coaching & Mentoring mode. Your "Candidate Interviews" topic is always Recruitment Call mode.
Hedy now remembers these preferences. When you start a new session within a topic, it defaults to the session type you typically use for that topic. One less configuration step, faster starts, and you're into your meeting sooner.
Context matters in conversations, and time is a crucial part of that context. When you ask Hedy about "last week's discussion" or "what we decided yesterday," the AI now understands these temporal references.
This improvement affects both in-session chat and post-session queries. When reviewing past meetings or asking questions across multiple sessions in a topic, Hedy's responses are now more accurate because it understands when things happened, not just what was said.
We added Farsi and Sinhala to Hedy's AI chat capabilities, continuing our commitment to serving professionals worldwide. These languages join our existing support for 30+ languages, ensuring more users can interact with Hedy in their preferred language.
Beyond the headline features, December included several refinements that improve daily use:
Live Activity Controls (iOS): A new toggle lets you show or hide the Live Activity indicator on your lock screen during sessions. Some users want the constant visibility; others prefer a cleaner lock screen.
Desktop Update Notifications: A sidebar indicator now alerts macOS and Windows users when app updates are available, making it easier to stay current.
