The biggest Hedy update in a year brings a desktop-optimized interface, in-meeting note-taking that powers your AI suggestions, a session type built for team ideation, and expanded video import.

Hedy 3 is available today across iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. It's the largest update we've shipped since the macOS launch a year ago, and the one our desktop users will notice most.
The redesign optimizes the interface for larger screens, with polished session cards, refined interactions, and our refreshed brand color carried through the entire app. Mobile users get the same visual update, so the experience feels consistent no matter which device you're using.
But the design is only part of the story. Hedy 3 introduces features that change how you work with Hedy during and after your conversations.
Until now, taking your own notes and getting good AI suggestions were separate activities. You could let Hedy coach you through a conversation, or you could write things down, but the two didn't inform each other.
Session Notes changes that. A rich-text notes tab sits inside the session view with a formatting toolbar and auto-save. Everything you write becomes part of Hedy's context. Your notes feed into automatic suggestions during the meeting and get folded into your post-session summaries.
This also solves a common request: the ability to add session context after a meeting has already started. Instead of needing to set everything up beforehand, you can type context into your notes at any point during the session and Hedy picks it up right away.
Hedy has always coached you as an individual. That works well for most meetings, but brainstorms are different. When the goal is generating ideas as a group, feedback aimed at one person doesn't move the room forward.
Group Brainstorm is a new session type where Hedy optimizes its prompts and suggestions for the collective conversation. Instead of coaching you on what to say next, it identifies gaps in the group's thinking, suggests directions nobody has explored yet, and helps keep creative momentum going.
It's built for team brainstorms, design sprint kickoffs, creative workshops, and any session where the output is ideas rather than decisions. Select "Group Brainstorm" from the session type picker before your next ideation session to try it.
Hedy has supported YouTube and Vimeo imports since version 2.7. With Hedy 3, that expands to 10+ video platforms. Paste a URL from any supported platform and Hedy generates a full session with transcripts, AI-generated summaries, and insights.
On macOS and Windows, you can also drag and drop audio and video files directly into the app instead of using the import menu.
Note that different platforms have their own restrictions on downloading videos, so not every video will be available to import into Hedy.
Beyond the headline features, Hedy 3 includes dozens of refinements across the app:
