How to update Hedy to the latest version

Many issues are fixed in newer releases, so updating is often the quickest fix. How you update depends on your device.

To see which version you have, open Settings > Help in Hedy and look at the bottom of the page.

Mac

You update the Mac app from inside Hedy. You don’t need an app store.

1. Open Hedy.
2. In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click Hedy, then Check for Updates…
3. If a new version is available, follow the prompts to install it.

Windows

You update the Windows app from the Hedy icon in the system tray.

1. Find the Hedy icon in the system tray at the bottom right of the taskbar. If you don’t see it, click the ^ arrow to show hidden icons.
2. Right-click the Hedy icon and choose Check for Updates…
3. If a new version is available, follow the prompts to install it.

If the Hedy icon isn’t in the tray at all, open Settings > Privacy & System in Hedy and turn on Show System Tray Icon.

iPhone and iPad

Open the App Store, search for Hedy, and tap Update.

Android

Open Google Play, search for Hedy, and tap Update.
