Manage or cancel your Hedy subscription

Manage your plan from inside Hedy

The quickest way in is from the app. Open Hedy, go to App Settings, and tap Manage plan under your current plan. On a phone or tablet this opens your app store subscription. On a Mac, Windows, or the web it opens the billing portal.

Where you cancel depends on where you first subscribed, so use the matching section below.

Uninstalling the Hedy app does not cancel a paid subscription. You have to cancel it through the store or portal you bought it from.

Cancel a subscription you bought on iPhone or iPad

If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad, Apple handles the billing:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Select your Hedy subscription.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down to find it.

If there is no cancel button, or you see an expiration date in red, the subscription is already cancelled. Apple’s full guide is at support.apple.com.

Cancel a subscription you bought on Android

If you subscribed on an Android device, Google Play handles the billing:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app, or go to play.google.com.
  2. Open Subscriptions (under Payments & subscriptions).
  3. Select your Hedy subscription.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Cancel a subscription you bought on Mac, Windows, or the web

If you subscribed on a computer or through the web, your plan runs through our billing portal rather than an app store:

  1. In Hedy, open App Settings and tap Manage plan, or open the portal link in any billing email we have sent you (your subscription confirmation or a renewal notice).
  2. Enter your billing email. The portal emails you a one-time sign-in link.
  3. Open the link, then cancel your subscription from the portal.

On a free trial, cancelling before the trial ends means you won’t be charged.

The portal signs you in with a link sent to the email on your billing account, and that is not always the same address you use to log in to Hedy. Common reasons the email never arrives:

  • A small typo in the email entered at checkout, so the link goes to an address you cannot read.
  • A private Hide My Email relay address from Sign in with Apple, which can quietly drop forwarded mail.
  • A different address than your Hedy login, such as a work email used at checkout and a personal one for the app.

First, check your spam or junk folder and give it a few minutes. If the link still does not arrive, the billing email on file is most likely different from the one you are entering, and that is not something you can change from the portal yourself.

Email us at support@hedy.bot from the address you would like on the account. We can look up the billing email on file, correct it, or cancel the subscription for you.
