Join your team on Hedy
When your organization invites you to Hedy Team, you get an email titled “You’ve been invited to join {your organization} on Hedy”. Open the link, create your Team account, and sign in to the Hedy app with it. Your organization pays for your seat, so there’s nothing to buy.
Accept the invitation
- Open the link in the invitation email. It opens in your browser, even on a phone with Hedy installed. The page reads Join {organization} as Member (or as Admin).
- Your invited email address is already filled in. Enter your Full name and a Password of at least 6 characters.
- Select Create account.
- Open the verification email and click the link. The invitation is accepted automatically once your email is verified.
If the page says your organization subscription is not active, ask your admin to check their Hedy Team plan.
Your Team account is separate from a personal account
A Team account is a new account with its own email address and password. It is not linked to any personal Hedy account, and sessions don’t move between the two.
If you already use Hedy personally, keep using that account for personal conversations. Your admin needs to invite an email address that isn’t on Hedy yet, such as your work address.
Sign in to the Hedy app
Download Hedy for iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, or Windows, or open the web app at web.hedy.ai. Sign in with the email address and password of your Team account.
Your plan shows as Hedy Team in Settings, with “Your organization provides Hedy Team access.” You get the same features as Hedy Pro.
Hedy says my account is locked
A locked screen tells you which of these applies:
- Seat not assigned: your organization hasn’t given you a seat yet. Ask your admin to assign one.
- Organization subscription inactive: the team’s plan has lapsed or been cancelled. Contact your admin.
- Access removed: an admin removed you from the organization. Contact them if this is a mistake.
Once your admin fixes it, select Check again.
Work together in team Topics
Your organization can share Sessions through Team Topics. Nothing is shared unless you assign a Session to a team Topic yourself.
Can my admin see my sessions?
No. Admins see your email address, role, and whether you have a seat. They can’t open your Sessions, transcripts, notes, or personal Topics.
The exception is a Session you assign to a team Topic. Everyone on the team can read that one, including admins, the same way any teammate can. More on what your organization controls is in Hedy Team privacy and Cloud Sync.
