Team Topics
A team Topic is a Topic your whole organization shares on Hedy Team. It works like a personal Topic: you assign your Sessions to it, and everyone on the team can open those Sessions and ask Hedy questions across all of them. Your chats with Hedy stay private.
Team Topics are part of Hedy Team. If you haven’t used Topics before, start with Topics.
Create a team Topic
- Open Topics and create a new Topic as usual.
- Turn on Team Topic.
- Name the Topic and save it.
In your Topics list, team Topics appear under Team and your own under Personal.
A team Topic can’t be turned back into a personal Topic, and an existing personal Topic can’t become a team Topic. Decide when you create it.
Assign a Session to a team Topic
Use the same Topic picker as for any Topic: in the start screen when you begin a Session, on the Session’s Topic chip, or in the Session’s options. Pick the team Topic under Team.
A Session belongs to one Topic at a time. Picking a team Topic replaces its personal Topic, and picking a personal Topic takes it out of the team Topic.
The first time you assign a Session to a team Topic, Hedy explains what’s shared and asks you to confirm. You see this once per account.
”Turn on Cloud Sync to add this Session”
Team Topics need Cloud Sync, because your teammates read your Sessions from the cloud. If Cloud Sync is off when you pick a team Topic, Hedy offers to turn it on.
If your organization has set Cloud Sync to Always off, team Topics aren’t available. See Hedy Team privacy and Cloud Sync.
What your teammates can see
Teammates see your Session once it has finished and its transcript has uploaded. They can read its transcript, recap, notes, and to-dos, but they can’t edit it.
Your chat with Hedy in the Session and your audio are never shared.
Chat with Hedy across the team’s Sessions
Each person has their own private chat on a team Topic. Hedy answers from the newest 25 Sessions in the Topic, whoever assigned them. Nobody else sees your questions.
Take a Session out of a team Topic
Unassign it the same way you would for any Topic, or pick a different Topic for it. Only the person whose Session it is can do this; admins can’t remove a teammate’s Session.
Deleting a team Topic keeps the Sessions that were in it.
When someone leaves the organization, their Sessions disappear from team Topics.
